Viola! The Finished Product!

Well, now you have seen the original (ok, so took out the background) black and white photo, now here is the finished one with my editing all done. I think it looks much nicer don't you! Can't wait to start my Portrait course after Christmas break! A break that is well needed, but I am looking forward to doing some portraits over the break! Love this, my passion is developing!

black and white from colour

Adam now in black and white!  I had taken the picture in colour but didn't like the background so decided to change it to black and white and get rid of the back ground.

A little Christmas Cheer

Found these little cuties at Art Knapps , just a fun shot that I did, guess I better get my butt out and about and capture some Christmas pictures! Whew, three more days and then Christmas break from college. I sure could use the time off to just play with my camera! But alas, I think I shall have a assignment from our new portrait instructor to do over the break! Hmm wonder what it will entail?

A little Splash

Got it right this time!

Playing outside the box!

A bit of work in Photoshop fixing the exposure for this shot. Hmmm,,, best to "capture" the shot properly the first time! Or take lots of shots!

Yup, playing outside the box again! I decided to change the saturation and hue on this shot and loved what the end result was!

This was so much fun, I have to do it again, and again!

Having fun doing a "splash" shot

It was so much fun doing my splash assignment, the technical part was tricky as we have to increase shutter speed to capture the splash action, and still expose for lighting. Overhead, side and a fill light was on this, but despite using the remote triggers the flash did not keep up with the camera. Not enough syn time recycle in the flash units. Hence a darker background instead of white, and just the overhead light that was not on syn for this photo. So this is my "bad" one, as not good enough for the assignment. Still I like the splash I managed to capture in the orange juice. Used a small orange to drop and timing is the key! Little bit of saturation change but because of the lighting problem, the juice has a nice reddish tinge on the side where the flash didn't fire. Well, off I went again to redo this shot, having lots of fun doing it and managed to get my "good" shot, in only taking two pictures. It pays to have all the technical things working, so enjoy this little shot, and I will post the good one soon.
So much fun!

Oh my gosh, a fellow student "captured" me!

Well, this is a rare picture as I don't allow myself to get "captured" I am much more comfortable behind the camera rather in front of it!  It's a good thing I am learning Photoshop, helps to get rid of some wrinkles and excess ....... well you know or not! My skills may be such that you don't notice! Taken by a fellow photography student!

Ghosts in the woods.

Fun times in the woods, but there are ghosts there! LOL. actually playing with my camera and slow shutter speed and open aperature. Can you see the ghostly figure? Whew, this took a lot of work to achieve!
